Project Management & Inspection Service

Diagnostic and Treatment Center, City of San Juan

The Diagnostic and Treatment Center was completed in September 2000 for a total project construction cost of $11.5 M.   The Center provides emergency and ambulatory medical services to the communities of Cupey/Caimito Wards.    Critical issues resolved during the progress of construction involve:  a) unforeseen unstable subsoil conditions that caused major re-design of site, foundations and portions of buildings.   This required an efficient integration of all team members (owner, designer, project manager, inspector and contractor) to reach an assertive solution, and b) the acceleration of project schedule and negotiation of the contractor's extended overhead.
